Working with Partners
When I got started in the Real Estate business I had someone who took the time to train me. We worked together for many years, then throughout the years I have worked with several other partners.
I have done my best when I was working with other people who are kind of like minded, and we were able to motivate each other.
Usually one person will do better if they have a specialty and they concentrate on that.
For example, if one person is better at talking to sellers, then they will do better if they just concentrate on that.
I had a friend who was excellent at finding really good deals, but he didn’t make much money because he was really bad a fixing the houses and selling them. He could have easily been a millionaire if he would have partnered up with someone who could fix them, and maybe a third person who could sell them.
But he didn’t and he would find great deals, then would work on them for years until he ended up not making much at all.
It’s not easy to find people who you can work well with and who complement your skills, but when you do it’s like finding gold and things can really take off.
