It’s A Numbers Game
When you start out in the Real Estate business, it will take you some time to learn how to be more efficient.
If you look at a house and then drive around the neighborhood and look at some similar houses for sale, maybe call a few agents to see what they are asking for their houses.
This all takes time, it’s easy to spend a couple hours looking at one house, you may not average 1 or 2 houses per day.
So if you’re averaging 1 house a day in 3 months you will have looked at 90 houses.
After you gain some experience and know what you’re looking for, then you can take those 90 houses and probably eliminate 60 of them, the other 30 you can look at in 2 days. If you keep this pace up then at the end of 3 months you haven’t looked at 90 houses, you have looked at the equivalent of about 4,050 houses.
So you have a little more than 40 times the chance to buy a house.
It’s all about numbers, and finding ways to look at more deals and eliminate the ones you don’t want faster.
