Buy Your Home At A Discount

When you’re buying a home it comes down to time and money.  You can spend your time or you can spend your money.

Around here the average price of a median home is around $375,000.

Spending some of your time you can easily cut 10% off the price and with some more time and effort you can take 20% to 30% off the price.

So for 40 to 100 hours of your time you could easily save $37,500 that comes out to $375 per hour.

If you get lucky and spend a few more hours, for this example let’s say 200, and you happen upon something with a 30% discount then your looking at making $562.50 per hour.

I have found deals that were discounted 80%, so 10% to 30% is entirely possible.

It helps if you can be more flexible in your location, if you want to live on a particular street and there is only one house for sale on that street, then your probably going to have to just pay up for it.

If you can widen your choices to a house in this area, and there are 200 houses in that area.  Then you have an excellent chance of finding a good deal.

Most (but not all) of the houses selling below market value will need some type of work, so be prepared for that.
